RingGo

Survey

I conducted a survey to understand what drivers were facing and features they wanted. Here are the results:

  • 67% are heavily influenced by parking price

  • 70% struggle to find EV-compatible parking spaces

  • 60% typically spend £10–£20 per month on parking

  • 55% want to see real-time availability

  • 45% have difficulty finding spots that fit their vehicle

Problem

Despite the variety of parking apps available, users still face issues like inaccurate parking data, complicated interfaces, limited payment methods, and lack of real-time updates. These problems create frustration and inefficiency, particularly in busy cities. Many existing apps don’t offer a truly seamless, user-centred experience. This case study explores how effective UX design can make parking apps simpler, more reliable, and better suited to users’ everyday needs.

Objectives
  • Use AI to predict availability and suggest optimal spots

  • Enable fast, seamless parking with real-time data and simplified payments

  • Support efficient space management for operators

  • Ensure scalability, accuracy, and ease of use for all users
